Depression and I
Living with depression can be fun.
One minute you land a new jobNext you are sobbing your guts out
In the corner couch
Cause the deathly grips of loneliness
Is grabbing your heart muscles
In a tight clutch
Shrouding your mind in blackout curtains of desolation
Leaving you with little or no imagination
And the deserted corners of your soul
Looks like the ravaged beach post tsunami
Where hope, like an empty echo
Searches the ground for a place to rest
But is greeted by the loud silence of Grief
The resident DJ of your heart's lonely town
And you extend your hand
To invite depression on its first dance
Courting sorrow and silence on the side
To invite depression on its first dance
Courting sorrow and silence on the side
